Kian Studio Founder

Architectural Designer

Kian Hashemi Kashi is a contextual architect with over seven years of professional experience working across international environments. His work explores the relationship between architecture, identity, history, and culture, with a strong belief that meaningful architecture begins with understanding the spirit of a place.

For Kian, architecture is more than the composition of forms, materials, or styles. Every project starts with the study of its context—its history, culture, climate, and the people who shape it. He believes that architecture should not simply respond to its surroundings but reveal the unique identity that already exists within them.

His design philosophy is built on a distinction between history, culture, and identity. History is the record of human actions through time. Culture is the collection of repeated actions and traditions that emerge throughout history. Identity, however, is the invisible spirit behind those actions—the quality that cannot be explained by individual elements alone. It is more than form, color, or composition; it is the character that gives a place meaning.

This philosophy guides every project. By studying history, respecting local context, and uncovering cultural identity, Kian aims to create architecture that is authentic, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who experience it.
